Hey there. Obviously, I don't know you, in fact I literally just made my NG account, but I hope that what I have to say can still help. I've experienced firsthand the trauma and pain that comes from such a decision and I can tell you for absolute certain that it's not worth it. Not because "aw but what about all your friends and family that would be sad and miss you?" but because it means the whole world will lose the chance to see you shine. I really sincerely hope that you reconsider.
