the way i see it, it's because there is more audio than news, so there's less news to choose from...
Also you could put your song in a news post, that's what i do, it helps somewhat.

i don't really know what you mean by "the site". Are you talking about an algorithm (like social media)? There's no algorithm in Newgrounds. Every frontpages are chosen by mods based on quality. There's nothing "promoted" based on views stats. They're not important on Newgrounds.
The site can't "promote" news, unless you've been solo frontpaged at least once, so you will be able to put your newspost at the frontpage once per week (if i remember correctly.). But that's it.
If you want people to see your audio, you have to show them your work. Engage with the community, make newsposts about your audio, maybe also showing how you made it, your inspirations, ect... You've been only posting about BFDI... I don't even know what is it and a lot of people won't know either im sure. Post about your work, show your work, make people interested in your work.
There's also the audio forum. You can take a look there if you want. Also, participating in conquests or collabs is a great way to be seen.
